Automatically Finding & Adding Lyrics to MP3 Songs on Mac
Let’s say you are a Mac user, and have many MP3 tracks that do not include lyrics in your music library, in order to see the lyrics while listening to them on your MP3 players or phones like like iPod touch, iPod nano, SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S, etc, you hope to add lyrics to MP3 file’s ID3 metadata. In this post, I will show you how to download and add lyrics to MP3 music files in buck with a batch MP3 lyrics finder & writter.
- Free download Wondershare TidyMyMusic for Mac, and install it. This program can scan your iTunes music library and the music folders not managed by iTunes on your Mac, then automatically add lyrics, album artwork and basic ID3 tags like title, artist, genre, etc to the songs that have incomplete information. Also, it is capable of removing duplicate songs from your music library.
- Launch Wondershare TidyMyMusic for Mac, then it will get all the songs in your iTunes music library added to its file tray instantly. For music files not managed by iTunes on your Mac, you can click the Tidy Music tab in the upper left, and then directly drag & drop the music files/folders to the program’s file tray to import them.
- After adding songs to this program, click the Scan button in the top of the window, and then the program will start accessing the Gracenote database which has the most comprehensive music and video metadata to find the lyrics for your songs. When the scan work is done, the found lyrics will be inserted into your MP3 songs along with album artwork and basic ID3 tags. Simply hit the Apply button to save all the information.
Note, if you only need to add lyrics to one or several songs that has (have) no lyrics, just select it or them and click the Identify button located on the bottom right, then the program will start to download and save lyrics in your selected song(s).
