Nowadays, video format like AVI, FLV, MKV, WebM and WMV are widely used by people and each of them has its pros and cons, here I will provide their advantages and disadvantages respectively in this article for you and it believes that it can help you a lot on converting video for use. 1:AVI

Microsoft’s AVI (Audio Video Interleaved) is older than other formats in the field of video and when it emerges, it can be said a pretty sights. AVI format offers people good image quality and allows people to select the compression as they like. However, the disadvantage is AVI video is always big video files and needs more storage to store. 4: FLV

FLV is short for Flash Video and it is a young video format in the field of video. Its small file size and fast loading speed makes itself popular on video streaming. Because of the small file size, the video quality of FLV is always lower than others. In a word, we can say that FLV is a video format special made for network and people always convert their video into FLV when they want to load home-made videos onto popular online-video share site like Vimeo, Vevo and Flickr etc.
