How to Record Music off iTunes Radio as MP3s/WAVs
At the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2013, Apple unveiled its own free, AD-supported music streaming service, iTunes Radio. Since the iTunes Radio’s September 2013 launch, the service has gained about 8% internet music streaming market share in U.S., becoming the No.3 online music service provider after the Pandora and iHeartRadio.
If you usually listen to the iTunes Radio on iTunes program on your PC, here I recommend solid iTunes Radio recording software named Leawo Music Recorder. With this recorder, you can easily record songs off iTunes Radio as MP3 or WAV files for offline listening on your PCs or MP3 players. The music information will be acquired automatically while recording.
Steps of using Leawo Music Recorder to capture music from iTunes Radio
1: Direct download this software here, and then install it onto your PC.
2: Start this recorder. At the top left of the software’s window, click the “ ” icon to make it into the state of recording. Clicking the RECORD icon again will stop the recording.
If you want to ditch the interstitial audio Ads on iTunes Radio while recording, you can click the small inverted triangle icon located in the upper right corner of the window, and then select Settings, next on the pop-up dialog box that appears, you will see the option, “Automatically filter, only save tracks longer than seconds”, just type a suitable value depending on the duration of the interstitial audio Ads on iTunes Radio.
3: Start playing your custom radio station on iTunes. You will see the stopwatch on the recorder’s window start counting. That means Leawo Music Recorder is recording the streaming audio from iTunes Radio.
4: When the recoding has been finished, click the Media button at the bottom of the window, then you will see the recorded tracks that are already tagged. If some songs haven’t been tagged automatically, you can right-click them and edit their tag information manually.
