How to Disable Internal Micophone on Window 7?

Step1:
Above all, check the lower right corner of your taskbar to see if there is the icon of louderspeaker. If there is, right click it and then it will pop up a dialogue box in which you choose Recording device.

Step2:
After selecting the recording device, it will pop up a window on sound attribute. Hit on microphone of the default device, and right click of the item. when seeing the pop-up dialogue box, select the the Disable option.

Step3:
After that you make the internal microphone disabled, and if you would like to use the other mic, plug in the device and choose the mic device downward the default one, right click and choose the item of re-enable. That’s it.

Step4:
Maybe some of you could encounter the phenomenon that once disabling the device, the item itself will be hidden too. So you just could’t re-enable it. If this happens, just right click the blank interface, check the boxes in front of the two options of Show disabled devices and Show disconnected devices in the pop-up dailogue box. Then it will show up again to make your choice.
