How to Copy DVDs to Laptop & Desktop Computer

As we know that DVD discs are unreliable because they are very sensitive to scratches, light, heat and stress, which will easily make a DVD unable to be played. Then it’s a good idea to backup DVDs to your laptop or desktop if you have some precious collections. Also you can transfer these backups to your iPhone, iPad, PSP, Blackberry… for watching on the go. If you are not familiar to back up DVDs to your computer’s hard drive, follow the steps below:

To back up DVD means to rip DVD to your computer. To do that you need to get a DVD ripping tool. Step1. Insert DVD disc into DVD drive, launch the program. Then click “Load DVD” icon on the top left to load DVD files.

Step2. Extend the pull-down menu “Profile” in the lower part of the window to select the output video format. You are provided with 30+ common-quality video formats including MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, MKV, etc., and 9 HD video formats including HD TS, HD TRP, HD WMV, HD MP4, etc. Besides, this program even can transform plain 2D DVDs to 3D in MP4, AVI, WMV, and YouTube video format.   • H.264: videos encoded by H.264 feature high compression rate, small file size for longer recording time and better network transmission, fluent and better video quality for real time playback. It is highly recommended to you.

Step3. Click Edit icon in the upper middle to edit the selected file. If you don’t want to see the flower show of the DVD video, you can trim them off. Also you are allowed to adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation, remove the black border and so on.

Step4. Hit “Start” button to start the conversion. When it’s done, you can watch it on your laptop or desktop. You also can sync it to your iPhone or other devices for watching wherever you are.
